I Am Me foundation

The I am ME Foundation was established in 2020 to assist children with special needs such as ADD, ADHD, and Autism; with a special focus on children from previously disadvantaged areas in South Africa. Our vision is to educate and empower children, their families, and society on the realities of living with ADD, ADHD, and Autism. Our biggest challenge is children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD who attend Government / Public Schools as many kids are not able to cope in classrooms of 35 – 40 learners. Due to a lack of funding in public schools; teachers are not equipped with the necessary tools to assist kids with special needs or learning disabilities. As an NGO, we have set up a donation funnel with Quicket to raise funds to help children with ADD, ADHD, and Autism, and their families. We will run special fundraising campaigns and hope that we can rely on communities and businesses to assist.

Our kids are struggling to fit into society and we aim to change the narrative about children with special needs. Let’s make a difference!”
